The diffusion time is a custom printing process using the diffusion of ink into paper. The initial image is transformed into dots and each dot has a contact time. A graphic plotter will carry a felt pen and make it touch the paper at this specified time. The solvent ink will go into the paper fibers by capillarity. The process can take several hours for one printing. We are at the border between painting and printing, analog and digital.
The printed pictures show seeds, the diffusion potential of vegetal. Each printing shows a different bug to reveal the underlying process and the inherent experimental aspect of the project.
